I have a PAL NZ wii...updated to latest nintendo update and followed larry's guide. It all worked as far as the installs. Thanks!!

But actually playing a USB game or using backup launcher fails.

USB launcher I see the iso and go to play and it sits on black screen. I have to reboot the wii. I tried a couple iso with the same results.

Backup Launcher, I can't hit b to reboot with hooks (it fails loading menu) and just launching a game causes "Exception" and does a big code dump and freezes on a screen of junk...

I downgraded to rev12 but still all the same...

Any ideas??

Sorry, I am pretty new to this. It's an older 2006 wii and shouldn't have an issue as far as serial number. LAH109...

I'm on 4.0E firmware after updating and followed the softmod guide posted on this forum. Everything seems to have installed fine. But I can't get any games to work.

I updated USBloader and it sees the games fine, but always sits on a blank, black screen and needs a reboot to get going again.

I tried burning a few ISOs and whenever I run those in wii gator backup launcher 0.3 gamma under IOS249 it goes to a black screen with "Exception (DSI) Occurred" and bunch of code. I then need to reboot the wii...

So I heard Ios38rev13b was buggy so I loaded rev12 to try and fix it...but no dice..

Let me know any other info that might be valuable and I'll be happy to tell you!

Frustrated!

Thanks!

Which games are you trying to play?
You should take a look at the compatibility list from time to time
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php/U...e_Compatibility

And the one for the backup launcher http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php/Backup_Launcher_v3

Which USB Loader are you using? Is it the Waninkoko original? (USB Loader 1.5?)

Or is it USB Loader GX? or Coverfloader?

USB Loader GX (as per the guide by larry)

I'm trying to load big brain academy and Call of Duty 5...both say they should load ok...

I've tried a few burns also and am using Sony DVD-Rs

Do you have the latest revision of USB Loader GX? Currently 516?
You can get it from here if you don't http://usbloadergx.koureio.net/downloads/revisions

With over 500 revisions some definitely have problems. I know that for me some wouldn't work at all and then the problem was fixed in a later revision.

World at War definitely works for me.
I also use Sony DVD-Rs when I use the backup launcher but it isn't just the brand name that tells you if a disc is good or not.

I hope it works for you.

And about IOS60, yeah people do tend to do that.
WadManager should have some built in protection against that.

It says would you like to uninstall wad?
What it really should say is would you like to brick your Wii?
Press - to brick your Wii.
