Label branded 48x. No speed listed on CDR's. Best error free speed I get with Nero is 32x Any higher? Tons of errors! I think I'll skip Memorex from now on. These (100pk) were given to me at Christmas last year.

I bought a 25 Pack of memorex the first 4-5 burned fine, all the rest ive tried have just bit kicked right back out at me....i have tried taking randomly from the case....i have only tried about 5 or 6 but seeing as how 6 out of 25 dont work thats pretty bad. needless to say I won't ever be buying Memorex again (no wonder they were on sale). Getting 25 Ritek cd-rs in mail soon, hopefully those will work out for me.

Well I finished the 100pk of memorex 48x branded CDR's at 32x. All were fine at that lower speed.

A 100pk of 16x branded (on the outer case) Imation CMC's I finished last year also burned fine with Nero at 32x. Any faster? Errors. I doubt I'll buy Imation or Memorex anymore. Has some Memorex colored discs given to me last month marked 40x. They wouldn't burn well above 24x.

I'm sticking with Ritek & Taiyo Yuden made CDR's as they both burn fine at full rated speeds. Bought a 100pk each from Rima.com & they both test fine in my 48x TDK drive. Only way I'm burning CMC is if it's given to me free. Same with Lead Data & Gigastorage. Haven't tried those but I'm not buying any due to the low reps they get.

Well whatever works! :-)
I dont burn at full speed anymore (well, not for the last several hundred CDs) so I guess I cant really comment on full-speed burns.

I've always had good luck with memorex cd-r's, no matter what speed i burn at which is usually 52x.

AMD Athlon 64bit FX-55 - OCed to 3.06Ghz -- Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe nForce4 SLI -- 4GB Dual Channel DDR400
2x 120GB Seagate 10K RPM RAID-0 -- 2x BFG GeForce 6800 Ultra 256MB PCI Express SLI -- Plextor PX-740A & TDK 40x20x52x -- Windows 7 64bit -- Maybe old and outdated but still runs quick lol

I got a spindle of 50 Memorex for Xmas and they were Moser Baer.

I'm with Praetor as far as burn speeds - I tend to stick to 32X in general and 4X for anything to be played in my Pioneer car deck.

In testing the Moser discs on my Plex Premium I found that anything above 32X gave C2 errors.

Well I just don't care for CMC made discs anymore for high speed burns. 32x & below yeah they do ok but any higher? Plenty of errors. Haven't had any Moser Baer discs yet as I'd prefer to stick with T. Y & Ritek.

I can burn 48x (with either T. Y or Ritek) audio discs & they play fine in both my truck plus the home CD player Data discs do great at that speed.
