I recently figured how to soft mod my US Wii, following the guide left by this site.(Guide: How to Launch Backup Games From Disc Channel On 4.0 Firmware.)
The Wii i tried it on was at 4.0U, it was updated to that firmware at the point of start. I followed each guide referred by that exact guide.(Softmodded Wii with cIOS36_rev7)- then the guide mentioned above. All went fine during and after the process.(No errors, or problems at all)
Then I tried burning two different games
Super paper mario(US one)- once just the iso alone at 2x with Imgburn on a Memorex DVD-R and got Error (324), then tried patching it using wiiUR, same thing, then using IOS patcher changed it to 249, and wiiUR and same thing- then gave up
then tried
Tatsunoko vs Capcom- Tried just the iso burned 2.4x, then using regionFrii, wiibrickblocker, and ios patcher changed to 249 burned at 4x nothing, then regionFrii and wiibrickblocker and burned at 2x and still Error 324.
Now I googled and looked here and GBAtemp they said it could be a few things, The disc's I'm using, that I had to install backuploader wiigator, uninstall 249 then use cios rev 7 and it should work(NEW AND IMPROVED WII SOFTMOD GUIDE ) which is what I followed, or the way im burning it.
Now I uninstalled 249 and installed cios rev7 and same thing error 324
Can someone suggest something or what I may have done wrong......
I got this message when I used cheap media, when I use verbatim and burn at a slow speed its fine, so perhaps try changing your media before you chop and change files.
Im sure the others will advise you better on the Ios fiels you should have.
