There is a DVD i recently re-found (after months of thinking it was lost) and tried to burn a backup (or new copy) as it seemed to be a little dirty and skipped in certain parts.

I'd hoped that DVDShrink would do the trick but it can only read 69% and then gives me an error message saying "I/O device error".

Is there any work around for this to complete the burn?

Clean your disc and rip with DVDFab HD Decrypter.
