Recently got a Digivox -T, downloaded the V3.300 bin file, giving us
Model Name Digivox-T
S/W V03-3.000T
Boot Version 01
Date 22.DEC.2008
After scan we did the
Press 1004 on the remote control
Turned EMU to ON
Result of the scan, only channels we could get was at frequency of 666, and 8Mhz. We only got 8 channels, these were RTE 1&2, TG4 and TV3, with 4 Irish radio stations as well. The TV channels were only audio as well.
Other increments of 8 above and below 666 yielded zero strengtht and quality
.
At the outset, Antenna power was set to ON, and we had an 90% quality and signal at frequency 666
Then we found we didn?t do the channel dump, so uploaded that file, listing 87 channels, and when we went back in to auto scan, we didn?t get any channels whatsoever
We have gone thru a good few Blogs on this forum trying to eliminate all possibilities, no joy so far, but looking for help in getting past the last few final steps
Are we searching at the wrong frequencies?
We are located in Donoughmore direction in Cork, if anyone around there could assist, your help would be greatly appreciated
Who set your aerial up?
Im asuming this isnt a chorus subbed aerial? therefore a channel dump file is no good.
If im correct in that you need to get a list of the proper frequencies/transponders(get it from that channel dump) and work out which one you were getting channels in on(666) and then calculate out the rest of them from there
Box and MMDS aerial purchased from iwantabo*,
seems to be a good line for reception, so picked signal up straightaway once we knew the direction
Quality is at 60-70% though, could that be our problem?
Gone thru all the above, still reackon we need to do some hardware fixes (enhance sat connections for the co-ax cables and try and raise the aerial higher)
Quality is at 45% with 30 chanels received so we will just keep plugging away with the frequencies and improve quality.
If you put the aerial a few feet higher but check it before you make it [permanent]it should increase the quality and if that does nothing worthwhile consider testing aerial in a different location as there could be a major obstruction at your current point.
