when i go to play on my ps3 in particalur cod4 offline it plays fine and all seems good. so i decide i wanna play cod4 but online. so i do what you have to do and get into a game lobby. up until now seems fine but as soon as the game goes to the map load-up screen it goes black only showing me the white writing from cod4 saying loading map settings or sumat like that.connection and cod4 disk is a all fine.

can anybody tell me the whats up with this pleases or suggest ides for fixing. Thanks

You may just want to wait it out, because it sounds normal. You have to load settings before playing online with any game, so I'd just let it sit for a while. If you're still looking at this screen 5 minutes later, than yes, you've got a problem, but unless I'm misreading your post, it sounds normal.

Are you using wireless internet.... if so it might be your router..... I had this problem and all I had to do was disconnect my router and redo my internet settings and everything went back to normal..... if you are using a direct feed it might just be becasue your cable is loose...... other than that I cant think of anything....
