Just wanting to see if anyone has been banned yet on XBL.
Anyone here think there will be bans or not?
Just curious to get a sense from the community here.

People won't know until they try to log on tomorrow. There possibly could be a ban wave so if your console is modded, keep the ethernet cable out for now.

I am under the impression that once a person is "listed for a ban" there is no stopping it. Regardless of cable plugged in or not...

More than likely correct. If MS wants to ban you, unplugging your ethernet cable, removing your hard drive, praying to Anubis... all are pointless attempts.

Where is this line of questioning coming from? It's an XBL maintenance not a witch hunt. Why do you think people are going to get banned? Do you have any proof or links to rumors that support this claim?
I'm not trying to discredit. I'm genuinely interested in where this is coming from.

I guess I just don't understand. There have never been reported cases of wave bans during maint events in the past. Why would they start now?
I highly doubt they timed this maint just at the time that Up, UFC, and RF were all messed up. Nice coincidence, though.

everytime live is done for any reason what-so-ever you get people complaining or asking if they are going to get banned. never fails, people just need to learn that they are going to get banned eventually and suck it up and deal with the consequence when it happens.
