Here my situation I got the Key off my lite-on with the Extractor and Spear using a Via Card using JF. I then flashed my old MS25 to make sure the key was valid and it worked, but I can't flash my lite-on I've tried Iprep and JF with no luck Iprep claims to have erased the drive but I can't write to it and with JF when I hit erase it returns the wrong code so I tried deleting the via driver did that no problem but after doing that my PC doesn't recognize the drive anymore. Now the drive won't even eject with the connectivity kit could my drive just be toast by now ?

No worries, you drive isn't toast. It just doesn't have firmware on it so it won't eject. But this is easily fixable.

Go ahead and hook your Lite-ON drive back to the same SATA connection you were previously using. Open up JF and select that same SATA port. Even though it will say no drive detected, go ahead and send the Lite-ON erase. Click OK twice and then power cycle the drive. You should be able to get the flash chip to respond with good properties. If you have removed the VIA driver it shouldn't freeze now.

Your drive isn't ejecting because it has no firmware on it. To get it to be seen again you need to install portIO32. It should have came with JF. Just follow the JF tut and you will have no problems installing it.

Just keep erasing, eventually it will return a good status code and then your ready to write.

EDIT: Beat to it. I would have posted quicker but I've been up for 2 days, I'm a little slow right now.

I've had PORTI032 installed the whole time that's how I got the key out. The problem is when I have the Via drive on my PC freezes as soon as I turn the drive on now and when I delete the driver JF say's no Via ports found and the drive is not listed. It kinda sucks to have a new Jasper board and use an old MS25 on it lol the news board with the oldest drive lol guess I'm lucky though at least I have the correct key.

1. Go to Device Manager and disable the VIA card.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys"
3. Re-enable VIA Card in Device Manager
4. Re-boot PC.
5. Open up JF and see if it detects the VIA Sata ports.
