Blender and other 3D design software wont start

Hello all. I bought a new computer for my self recently and I decided to try 3D softwares.

First downloaded Blender 64bit for my 64bit vista, but as I started it, all I could see was black screen.

Then after a long search for solution, I tried another program called MAYA, which starts quite normally, I can see toolbars etc, but nothing in the middle where you create your polygons etc. There is no grid, even though grid is turned on, and as I draw any shapes to the middle of screen it wont show them.

In summary all I see is just blank white in middle of toolbars. To fix this problem before all, I updated my geforce GTX260 896MB DDR3 graph card, but that didn't do the trick.

Can anyone help me out?

Oh and to point out, all games that i've played on this comp so far have run without any graph errors.

My motherboard MSI K9A2 CF-F
Chipset: AMD 790X
