Hi, the vcd's ive been making are suffering from a low volume effect. Basically when Im watching them it seems as to pump up the volume more than id like to hear everything well. Is there anything I can do?

What i think is that the encoder is taking the wrong channels from the 5.1 channel source so maybe Im only encoding the background channels or something like that.

Flash MPEG? do you mean Flask ? either way, you probably should consider something else.. depending on your source video (dvd, mpg, avi), you may want to check out the guides on this site..

DVD as source use DVD2SVCD:
http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/dvd2svcd_guide.cfm

AVI as source, also use DVD2SVCD

Check out these other sites also:

Low sound is no problem at all. Use the afterdawn guide that vcdjunkie directed you to, when it comes time to use TMPGEnc, click the settings button and click audio. Click audio edit. (I dunno if this function is still in tmpgenc) Look for volumn and see if you can increase it.

If the volumn option is gone, see if you can get nero wave editor. Then use tmpgenc to de-multiplex the audio rom a vcd and open it with wave editor. Select it all and click edit - change volumn. You can increase dbs. Save it as mp3 44100hz 224kbits/sec. Multiplex it with the vcd video stream. Hope Im not being too technical.
