I have the old school fat psp (the very first design that came out). I would like to mod it but i Do not know what i all need to get the PSP mod. Can somebody help and please be very specific in details. Thank you.

i have a psp fat and i modded mine and im running cfw 5.00m33-6 with the 1.5kernel so i can still run homebrew and if you didnt know you can play backups off the memory stick with this cfw aswell.

the way i installed it was pretty simple as i bricked my psp and used the guide here to unbrick and install cfw 3.71m33 (i think), then if you run mux 2.0 in mem stick under game section then click [x] on 4.01m33 then exit the app go to game and mem stick should see an update run it, now you have 4.01m33.

from here i used network update (which now using cfw will run m33 updates and will NOT give you original firmware updates) update to 5.00m33-6 after that i went to the mem stick under game and ran 1.5 kernel for 5.00m33 so i could play homebrew aswell :D

hope i didnt sound too confusing lol :D

P.N - In order to use network update you must have internet connection on psp!
