Please forgive my ignorance, I'm new to all this modding stuff. I softmodded my Wii (system 4.0U)so the kids & I can play backups. I dont really have any interest in homebrew games and such. So, what I'm wondering is: Can i get rid of the homebrew channel and expect the backup channel to still work & function properly? How would I completely remove the homebrew channel?

Thanks in advance for any info!

I would say you could but you shouldnt You might need to run wad manager to update something in the future. Just hide it in the last pan of channels.

Ok, thanks. I may try to install a USB Loader sometime in the near future, so I guess I'll keep HBC.

You can simply click 'A' and 'B' (the bottom button) on the remote and drag the channel across the Wii's display pages all the way to the last one and hide it in the corner if you just don't want to see it. The backup loader channel will function still without it I'm pretty sure if you decide to delete it. Hope this helped.
