30 Gig iPod 5g Song Cutoff Problem

I have an 30gb iPod 5th generation (pre-classic). When I am listening to music (especially the music I most recently put on the iPod) the iPod will skip the last 30 seconds or so and move onto the next song. Does this warrant an iPod restore? I once had Rockbox on the ipod... don't know if that has anything to do with it. Either way the music seems fine on the computer just not on the iPod.
