I tried installing the wads (ios38,53,55,60 and 249) by placing them in the wad directory in the root of SD but they dont show up in the wadmanager, although my other wads show up there.
what am i missing here? how can i install those wads then?

my wii is 3.3U and already has a custom IOS37-64-v2070.wad installed.

This is pretty strange.
You have wads in your wad folder and they show up in wadmanager but the wads of the IOS that you want to install don't show up in wadmanager?
And they are all properly named files named "whatever.wad"?

Also thought I'd mention that the cIOS that you have is pretty old. That is one of the first three revisions of Waninkoko's cIOS.
I'd imagine that the 249 that you are trying to install through Wadmanager is much more recent.
