using jungleflasher to update my firmware but when i try to restore the original firmware it says:
Restoring Stock f/w to Hitachi 0078/0079 by Ram Upload Method via WIN32 API
Dumping Flash:Ram Upload Dump Failed
I am 99% sure I have everything set right and I am definately in Mode B
Any help much appreciated

hitachi drives can be a paine in the a$$.
how are you getting the power for the drive?
a connectivity kit or the xbox?
the reason i ask is, for what ever reason when i use jf on a hitachi drive i have a hard time to get it to work with my ck3,
on my first hitachi i was over two hours flashing with no luck,reinstalled drivers over and over and no luck, than just as a thought i tried to power with the xbox and wala, flashed in seconds.
i have flashed around 10 or 11 sence than all with the xbox power and no more problems.

How are you getting into mode b because if you are using jf it does not always work properly on hitachi's. Try using slax it works for me everytime!

I am using jungleFlasher but when it takes a double click to open the tray does that not mean it is in modeB.
Should I have anything hooked up to the HDMI port?

Yes, 2 presses means its in mode b, you dont need any hdmi cables in just the av cable or the console will shut down on its own!

Hey just made a bit of progress by starting the xbox after jungle flasher don't exactly know why. Here's the log it stops and gives me a message saying there is a problem with the dvd key.
