I have a quick question regarding the Free MC Boot software. I know that this may be used to play backups of PS2 games provided you patch them. However, do FMCB enable you to play games of different regions (original games)?
Like, if I had a memory card with FMCB installed on my PALPS2 would I be able to play an imported ICO (NTSC)?
Hm yes, I've been able to install both Zoneloader and Swap Magic however I haven't been able to boot the game. I think it has to do with the fact that the game is actually on a CD (it's ICO, one of the earlier PS2 games), is there any way around this?
Also, is there any ELF file which can be used to boot PSX games of another region?
FMCB doesn't work with CD games . Try Swap Magic CD as elf . You also might need another original CD game , and blocking the 3 sensors . PS1 games only work with PSXLOADER.ELF , and you need an original game also, then you swap it with the backup . You also need a PS1 memory card to save, the PS2 one is incompatible . People are working at PS1 emulator on PS2 , when that's out you'll play all you want , and with improved graphics .
Nevermind about the MGS, ran the PC version instead :P
However, now I have a original copy of MGS 2 Substance that I can't get working, I do believe it has to do with it being a dual layer disc, as Zoneloader doesn't even register it is a PS2 disc. Any solution to this problem?
