chickHEN by itself won't run iso's but you can use chickHEN to run a custom firmware like GEN-A or a custom firmware enabler. Either of those two options will allow your iso's to show up

Well it all depends on what version psp you have. You never said what version you are trying to hack. I assumed that you were hacking a psp-3000 because you are using the ChickHEN exploit. You don't have to do that unless you have a psp-3000.

You can do a more permanent cfw flash on any other psp but if you have 3000 then you are stuck with what you have for now. I just set up this same exploit procedure for my buddies psp-3000 and the best thing to do is make sure you put the psp to sleep rather than shut it completely off. Keep the battery charged as best you can and you won't have to run the exploit all over again.

Even if you do have to run it each time it only takes like a minute and a half to run both procedures. Not a big deal.
