I've heard that you can now play a game from a harddisk with a nomod chip. Can you play a game from a harddisk if you have it softmodded?

I've the backuplauncher and the homebrew channel installed on my wii. I have the 3.4E firmware. Can I do a system update without having it bricked?

You don't even need to update the firmware if you don't want to.

But since you already have the HBC and a cIOS installed Updating to 4.0 is simple. Update to 4.0 firmware like you normally would. Then go to this guide HERE and follow the IOS60PATCH: section of the guide (remember you don't have to do this step if you want to stay at 3.4 firmware).

To get USB Loader working go HERE and use this guide. Just follow the cIOS38_rev13a: and the USB Loader GX: section.

You will need to download the SoftmodPack I have included in the guide to follow both above parts.

I need to format a WBFS partition. So will everything be deleted on my harddisk?
