So I heard you'll need sd card to softmod, any size up to 32 gb, but I have a 4 gb micro sd card, and I have the sd adapter for it, so I wonder if I put the 4gb micro sd in the adapter, will it be usable? Thanks.

I am not saying it will not work but you will have a high probability of running into issues. To save yourself some heartache use a SD card.
