Hi, this is my first time posting. I would like some help.

Currently, i am trying to update 4.U0 and everything. I am not using softmod, i am chip, so i simply just update from 3.4U with ios36 r12.22 to 4.0, i have HBC 1.0.1 but nothing else beside using geckos.

I have follow the guide by larrylie (thanks) http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/773505

but once i reach he step using WAD to patch IOS60, i can not locate IOS249. I assume i did not install cIOS36 before hand.

So my question is it is possible to install cIOS36 right now under 4.0U ? Or do i need to downgrade then upgrade?

I don't really care about IOS60 (i don't use SD cards to play), all i really worry is trucha sign problem, anyone know another way to fix that even if i don't have any custom IOS?

You don't have to downgrade.
You can continue with Larry's guide just doing the part that talks about downgrading IOS35 up to where it says Install the CIOSv7.wad and after you install that you can install any cIOS you want or you can go here http://yafaze.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=70 which is basically the same thing just not from the viewpoint of having nothing installed.

You will also want to run IOS Downgrader to patch all updated IOS that may have been updated to block the Trucha Exploit.

This will not downgrade your firmware. It will patch any IOS that has the Trucha Exploit blocked so it will allow it again.
