alright...running a chipped wii I was following Larry's ultimate softmod because I really just liked the idea of booting from USB instead of burning...I went step by step and got to the point where I am in Loadmii and choose downgrade IOS35...I get a "It seems to me that you are a pirate. bye.." message. I searched for a while and found people needing to run "shared2clean" so I tried that it told me my shared folder was cleaned and I deleted any wiiware channels just in case. Ran it again and got the same issue. I previously had HBC installed with DVD9 or DVDX cant recall its been a while and I think that is whats causing this error but im not sure how to clean my system to let me get this step done.

OH and BTW I went ahead and pressed on with the tutorial and it allowed me to do everything else no problem at all until I tried to install the USB loader forwarder channel it gave me an error and would not install...I did boot up a game from the usb loader via the HBC and it worked fine but I would like to have everything perfect.

Any help guys?

So the only thing you are wondering about is USB Loader and the forwarder right?
You said that you had trouble with downgrading IOS35 but afterward you were able to load a game with the USB Loader from the HBC which means that you were able to install cIOS.

What error did you get when you tried to install the USB Loader forwarder with WadManager?

Which revision of USB Loader GX are you using?

Edit: Oops I forgot to say "lol at thread title"

yes I was able to install the CIOS but I am not positive that IOS35 was downgraded because I never got past the "yarr a pirate" thing. I was under the impression that IOS35 had to do with trucha bug fix and I want to make sure that IOS35 gets installed correctly...

The error code I get when installing the USB loader GX is Error ret -1022.

Please someone help me get this thing squeaky clean so I can load everything up the same as everyone else....

If you are on 4.0 you wouldn't have been able to install cIOS if your IOS35 wasn't downgraded so I am guessing that you were able to downgrade it. If you installed cIOS before 4.0 you could just use IOS downgrader.

So I'm guessing that you got USB Loader GX to work? Even though you must be amazingly fast if it wasn't work in your second to last post but was working in your next post one minute later.

Which games have black screens?
You should check the compatibility list http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php/U...e_Compatibility

my issue was never that USB loader was not working what I can not get to work is the usb loader channel forwarder. The thing that installs the channel to link to usb loader. I thought that was odd because everything besides that downgrade IOS35 worked. I helped my friend softmod his untouched wii and when he downgraded IOS35 it actually went through and did it...mine consistently just gave me the pirate message...

As they said before. If IOS35 was not patched then you could not have installed the cIOS.

If your worried about the IOS being patched for the trucha bug then run IOS Downgrader. Run it until all of the IOS say "OK". If they say failed then run IOS Downgrader again.

Try installing the forwarder again after this.

As for Punch Out! try the following.

Go to Punch Out! but before clicking on the disc to launch the game go to settings. Now make sure the error #002 fix is ON.

Is the game region the same region as your Wii?
