Hey i have a Benq drive that i am trying to flash. i was using iprep v9 and i used iXtreme 1.5. After i put it in boot-up type dBen and the serial number, then i turn the 360 on and press continue. I know the port number so i say N to the ones that are not it, when i find the port which is 0xDE00 and it says the the benq number then i press Y. But then it says something like "need ATAPI drive" when i put a number in it and enter it says wrong port.i have flashed a benq drive before but i have never seen anything like this before. I will take a pic of what is said to me and post it soon. But please i need help.

It does have firmware, just M$ original firmware.
Would suggest that you use Jungle Flasher & iExtreme 1.6 . Would highly suggest you do a hour or two's reading in this site before you start. There is however a tutorial included with Jungle Flasher.

I installed jungle flasher 0.1.6beta and installed the Portio32.dll. Jungle flasher finds the drive and shows the following:
Drive Properties:
Vendor: PBDS
Name: VAD6038-64930C
But when i press Intro/Device ID
It Gives me a status of:
0x51
And sends me a error message with the following
MTK Vendor Intro Failed
If you wish to resend the command you should click Yes, Power off the drive and then back on (within 1 second).
And we tried that and it gives us the same result
I have flashed one BenQ drive before without any problems with the same chipset: Via VT6421A. so im not sure if it has gone bad or what am i doing wrong. Also the drive plays normal games just fine. HELP!!

Keep trying to send the vendor info. You might have to remove the VIA driver to flash properly. As a last resort, you can boot DosFlash and I have a tutorial linked for it.

1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device manager.
4. Re-boot.
