Could someone please help remove the static point on my KHS-400C Laser?

Hello,


I just bought a new KHS-400C laser to replace my ps2 broken one and I've run into some trouble. Apparently, I wasn't aware that there's something called a "Anti Static Point" on the laser and I'm not sure where it's located or how to remove it.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You need desoldering braid and a solder gun to remove it

I've seen that picture before while searching the web trying to find more info on how to remove the static point. My Laser actually looks different then the one in that picture though.(looks different on the bottom and is orange colored instead of green.)


Here's a picture of the one I got off ebay.







I was unsure on where the static point was located because the picture I posted and the one you posted both are KHS 400c lasers but it seems like the static point is not located on the same area of the laser?

Is it perhaps that there are different models of the KHS 400c?

Not that I know of, but that doesn't mean that there isn't.

and they are green on the bottom.

But I guess if that is where the anti-static point if , then that is where you will have to remove it.
