Each DVD has four episodes and parts of each episode reside in two or three diffent VOBs.

The DVD is too big to fit all on one DVDR. It looks to me like they did this for copy protection.

Anybody have ideas?

Use Vobrator to find out which VOB ID's contain which episodes. Create two directories (disk 1, disk 2). Use VOB Extras in IFO Edit to strip the unwanted episodes into the disk 1 directory. Repeat this for disk 2. Copy the menu files to each directory, open them in IFO Edit and correct the VTS Sectors. Now watch your movies, paisan.

I haven't tried VOBRATOR yet but I don't think your recommendation will solve my problem. I know which episodes are in which VOBs but the problem is at least one VOB has to be split. For example

Episode 1 resides in VOB_01_1 and VOB_01_2
Episode 2 resides in VOB_01_2, 3 AND 4
Episode 3 is in VOB_01_4, 5 and 6 Etc.

For this example VOB_01_4 must be split into two separate VOBs. I already tried to select VOBs, duplicating 4 on both disks and it didn't work.

Any other ideas?
