Hi, in the past I've often browsed the afterdawn forums to solve my problems, usually successful. However I think I might need more specfic help.
I had my 360 modded with iXtreme 1.4 about 1.5 years ago. And I use SH-D162D with KREON firmware (i'm not sure which version) and I use XBC V2.8 with IMG Burn. I had no problems until now...I just recently sold my computer which I think had a LGdvd burner, now until I get another one, I'm using my Mum's laptop which has a 'SLIMTYPE DVD player/burner'. Before I sold my computer I backed up SF4, Soul Calibre 4 & Virtua Fighter 5, with no problems.
I have just recently tried to back up Wanted, Virtua Tennis, and Viking, all on mum's laptop, all unsuccessfully. Wanted and VT had security sector problems so I used ABGX360, I only get the xbox 360 logo when I try to play them. Viking I backed up as per usual, but I get a screen saying the disk might be damaged, clean the disk or restart the console. I have tried numerous times and sacrificed a few disks all with the same results.
For Wanted I used Verbatim disks and for VT and Viking I used MKM's.
Could the problem be with mum's dvd burner? Or iXtreme? or something else?
Also when I use ABGX360, when starting to burn I get a screen saying
W 17:28:56 DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Failed! - Reason: Access is denied.
W 17:28:56 DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_DISMOUNT_VOLUME) Failed! - Reason: Access is denied.
but it still burns, i don't know what thats about.

I'm not sure on those games, but if they are wave 3 you won't be able to play them without the patch.
As for the error when burning, its nothing, my computer does it all the time and I still get good burns. Basically it tries to lock the drive so no other program can access it(less interference, better burns). Its not that important, just a precaution. Like I said, my computer does it all the time and I get good burns.
