Hi,
I have an xbox which is showing E65 1001 error, the DVD drive is a Benq and is dead, no idea how or why, I was working fine. I have tried it with the Maximus 360 power unit and its dead. I still have the original firmware from it...

Can I spoof that a Sammy drive I have a spare?

Yes and you can use Jungle Flasher to prepare the firmware.

Load your original bin into source.
Load ix1.6 for Samsung into target.
Click spoof source to target.
Save custom firmware and flash.
