Hey guys, I recently reformatted my computer. I have never had a problem burning games for my 360. I've always used Verbatim 8.5GB 8X - 10X DVD+R DL discs for backups. The problem is, I reinstalled imgburn, and tried burning 4 different games. None of them work. They either show up on the dash as a dvd movie, or they hang on the xbox 360 splash screen. My other backups still play fine, the ones I burned months ago. Is there any certain setting I need to change on IMGBURN? I've been following the same steps, load up the .dvd file and click burn at 2-6x (despite what i've heard, i've never had an error with 6x). I even tried burning the last game at 2x, but still it hangs.
Ive heard a few people saying about the new version of imgburn having problems, maybe try an earlier version or try burning with clonecd, also with imgburn you have to set the layerbreak where if you use clonecd you only have to burn the .dvd file which has the layerbreak in it!!
I'll give that a try sn0wman1!! Thanks for the quick reply, I was sure it had nothing to do with my 360 or the .dvd/.iso. Especially when I have a 100% success rate AND my older backups play just fine.
Yeah, I'd love to do it myself but I fear I'll just cause more problems. There are alot of people in my area that do it, just hard finding a reliable source. But thanks again, I'll have to get the 1.6 update before I try burning anymore games.
