Cannot "Quit" Burned Games properly

Whenever I run my backup discs through the Wii backup channel and then quit them by pressing the home button and then clicking the wii menu option I do not get the Wii menu but instead the wii turns itself off.Then I have to take out the plug and put it in again and start the wii all over again.Though it does not happen in my Mario tennis backup CD(that quits properly and loads the wii menu scree).

Has anyone else faced this problem?Is this issue something serious or not?And does anyone knows ow to fix this?

Also can anyone tell me how to know which chip is installed on my modded wii?
