Are you opening a commercial movie disk or a file folder that has been ripped by another program.

Rip protected movies using DVDFab HD Decrypter before opening them in DVD Shrink.

After ripping with DVDFab HD Decrypter, make sure you clean up the files with either FixVTS or VobBlanker before opening in DVD Shrink..

DVD Fab doesn't produce the cleanest rips and using either FixVTS or VobBlanker makes sure your files are in the best state for DVD Shrink to process.

Just checked and it looks like i myself had success with this movie back at release ie 2007, with DVDFab version 3.1.4.0 ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/528416/3211195
Only watched Ghost Rider again last week actually, i had ripped it from the disc i made back in 2007 and converted to AVI to watch on the old xbox.

I downloaded the link from attar for a decrypter and it worked fine. Something must have happened to my copy of dvd shrink.

Thank attar for the link it was really helpful and easy to use.

Thanks again to all that helped me.

You can copy the download to a CD and install from there.
AFAIK, the only time internet access is required is if you wish to register the shareware features - the free, HD Decrypter part, does not require registration.

Nothing has "happened" to shrink.. it's just outmoded as a ripper due to new copy protections. It still has a place in the arsenal, just not as a front line ripper.

It may not rip as well as it used to, unless it has AnyDVD behind it, but it sure does have a place in the arsenal. It still works well on any OS, even Win7. Unlike Nero Recode which belches and f***ts all over the place. It still is a must have for all, IMHO :)

Well said as it's still handy to have for reauthor and minimal compression purposes.

As Arniebear stated it can still be useful when used in conjunction with Anydvd.
