Hitachi drive has become dvd player after flash.

Latest ixtreme 1.51 flashed to Hitachi 0047 drive after flashing back to original stock drive. Now drive only plays dvd. What an earth causes this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hitachis are notorious for the "Open Tray" problem, but when it says "Play DVD", you might not of got your key flashed back to the drive.

Thanks for that, looks like key is series of 0sand7s in jungleflasher,
ie: 070707070707etc. so now do I have to manually spoof my key across.
Can I do this in jungleflasher 1.51?

Firmware is Hitachi OSIG: HL-DT-STDVD-ROM GDR3120L0047
Firmware type is: Stock
This is what is contained in ofw.bin read using other software before
being flashed

I believe you can load that into target and then restore to stock with Jungle Flasher, and it should flash what is in target.

If not, use Firmware Toolbox to flash stock back to the drive. Then select the option "Flash iXtreme" in Jungle Flasher to flash your drive.

Then flashed hitachi 1.51 with jflasher and all is well. Much appreciated. Tony
