I have a lite on that was flashed by a friend. He provided me with the Identify.bin, inquiry.bin, and key.bin. I read on line that since I have those I don't need to use the probe and I can just use jungleflasher. I also read that I need a dummy.bin file or something which I don't have.
Is there a guide or can someone help me out on how to do this? I've flashed a hitachi and a samsung before so I have the VIA 6421 Sata card already installed on in my PC. Thanks for any help.
Get Jungle Flasher properly setup on your computer (PortIO + .Net framework 2.0 or higher).
Connect you Lite-ON drive to the compatible SATAchipset of your computer (onboard SATA or VIA 6421 SATA card)
Open up JF and go to DVDket tab. Make sure your Lite-ON is recognized under drive properties (PLDS DG-16D2S).
Eject the tray and shut off the drive. Push tray in halfway and power back on drive. Check mark the box that says "Dummy bin" only. Click "dummy from iXtreme" and it should dump your dummy bin.
