Hello, I am very new to this hobby and would like some advise. I have a Dell 8100, P4 1400MHz, 768MB RDRAM, and a second 40GB HDD. I was thinking since this PC is not as fast as it should be to do the capturing I was planning on getting a Canopus ADVC100 to do the conversion to MPEG2. My real quesion is, since I do not plan on doing a lot of aurthoing will this setup work to put my collection of VHS and LD movies on to DVD's. If this setup will work and give me good results I plan on buying the rest of the hardware I need. Thanks for your help.
