is it possible to use digital camcorder as web cam with firewire cable? mine is bit old sony dcrpc3e, no USB, just dv in/out, do i need any extra sw?

I dont think you can use it, as you got to have usb connection!

You can use DVdriver from TrackerCam.com to make your digital camcorder act as a web cam.
