Hey, ive just tried out dvd shrink for the first time, everything ripped fine and was then stored on my HD. however when i tried playing the 'video_ts' file in PowerDVD on the PC, none of the menu buttons worked i.e Play movie, scene selection. therefore i had to physically forward to the next chapter, and although the movie was there, there were only about 5 chapters for the whole movie (sth to do with the 1gb parts or something i believe.)

anyway i was wondering whether or not i'd have the same problem when i transfer to DVD+R and play it on a standalone.

Thank you

I think most software players will only look at the VOB files and ignore the IFO & BUP. That's why there are no menus.

If you backup your DVD in Full Disc and burn the resulted files you'll have working menus.
