Why do i always get p***ed off and fed up everytime i have to see or talk to my ex about my 9 year old daughter it has been 6 years and i still feel the same way.

That's the entire reason I'm going to adopt a kid.

Thanks Nephilim you were lucky don't get me wrong i am gald i have my kid and would do anything for her she is the most important thing in my life but as for the ex i am taking deep breaths now and relax.

A very good thing indeed! The hag I was with had a wonderful little 5 yr old that I became very close to and she was the reason I stayed as long as I did. It is an almost indescribable feeling when a child loves you. I very much want a kid but it's the fact that God has it out for me when it comes to women that scares me :)

I know how you feel. The only reason my ex-wife still pisses me off is because of the fact that I have to share responsibility for our daughter with her. Other than that she has no real ability to push my buttons (not like I really care if she's stupid with her own life), but when she's being stupid about Emily I swear I could kill her sometimes.

She knows how to wind me up big time i don't know what country you guys are from but here in England if you are not married you have no rights as a father i had to go to the courts to get my parental responsibility for my daughter cost me over £2500 which was bloody hard to get hold of. I don't care what the ex does as long as my daughter is ok and happy. Hey i know what why don't we start a group for us men who's ex partners p*** us off !! lol

Well here in the US fathers definitely have rights, but in most places (including where I am) there's a difference between rights by law and rights in practice. For example, in any sane world the laws here would have allowed me a better than even chance of getting primary custody (we have joint custody, but since Emily lives with her she has primary custody), but in reality she would have had to be a drug addict or in an asylum for this to happen. Fortunately my ex actually wants our daughter to spend time with me so I actually have it better than many.
I'm with you on the group, but I hope you're prepared for a huge membership. ;-)

You are one of the lucky ones mine did not let me see my daughter for 2 months or let me talk to her. She kept hanging up when i phoned. She even told her i did not want her i wanted a boy but she did not tell my Sophie the true story which was if it was a boy i would name him and if it was a girl she would name her. When my daughter told me that ( she was only 5 or 6 at the time ) i could have went straight round there and god know what i would have done.

No matter how many times I see it I never cease to be amazed at how some parents can be so obsessed with "getting even" with their ex that they are willing to traumatize their own children to do it. I've always counted myself lucky that regardless of how irrational and unstable my ex might be, even when she's being stupid she's at least doing it because she thinks it's in Emily's best interest.
As a friend of mine likes to say, "The problem is there are too many people with kids and not enough parents."

Truer words were never spoken.
It's sickeningly common to see people who want no part of actually raising a child properly. Society can scream and cry about drugs and guns destroying our nation but it's kids whose parents never loved them enough to teach them right from wrong who are doing the drugs and killing people.

Given the number of "parents" who manage to spend several nights a week going out, leaving the kids with their grandparents or a babysitter I guess we shouldn't be too surprised they haven't managed to teach them right from wrong (or from left in many cases). As Chris Rock said, "If your kid calls grandma Mom, and Mom Pam, he's going to jail."

I married my wife just short of 5 years ago and i took on her son's aged 5/7/ and 9. Lisa my wife has never had a penny off her X husband since he left her for someone else 8 years ago,so i've brought them up as my own.
And it realy pisses me off when on the rare occasion that the kids stay with him that he spend loads of money spoiling them after pleading poverty.
Still they are probably better away from the wife beating wanker,drugs are big problem even down in our remote part of England my eldest stepson (now 14)is having real problems with peer presure with his friends trying to get him to smoke and take drugs, so far he has resisted.
Whats troubling is that smoking pot is becoming the norm and you are considered weird if you d'ont,anyway on a happy note Ben's told all his mate's that my stepdad's got an old pickaxe handle in his shed and if any of them who sell drugs would like to see it he would be only to happy to show them.
I drink lots because my Liver is EVIL
and must be punished.
