greetings fellow rippers :)
This involves more like the advanced settings of dvdx or wateva. I got a problem with the quality of final .avi I finished encoding using dvdx. I often see like vertical ripples on the final avi. (familiar to anybody?) Even though it doesnt show constantly from the beginning till end, its still annoying me. All I could think that would affect are the settings of xvid mpeg-4 codec or the 29 fps in input setting. Perhaps someone could recommend a solution or maybe a more superior software? Appreciate it.

i have the same exact problem with mine. i use dvdxcopy gold. i can get the picture to be better but the speed is alot slower. when i copy i don`t compress the dvd and the picture is alright.

how long does it take you to copy a dvd on to your computer alone.it takes and hour just to copy to the hard drive alone for me.i have 2.8GHz proccessor and 512mb ram and dvd+R/RW drive.i don`t know how to find out what speed the drive is??

that what i want for now just is to copy on to my hard drive.

tell the forum what kind of computer you have and what of dvd drive and speed you have.somebody else can tell you cause i don`t know myself.
