Everytime I try to "quick connect" on Flash FXP, I get a "connection failed" message. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?


First, I changed settings on xbox to:
Static IP : Yes
IP : 192.168.0.3
subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
default gateway: 192.168.0.1

Next, I changed the properties on internet protocol (TCP/IP) to:
IP address : 192.168.0.1
Subnetmask : 255.255.255.0
default gateway: 192.168.0.1

Then I restarted computer

Then I connected network cable from Xbox to router

Last, I used flash fxp
IP : 192.168.0.3
Username : xbox
password : xbox
---then clicked quick connect---

On your PC don't put anything in the default gateway box

According to what you wrote:

It looks like you changed you computer's IP address to your router. I suggest to leave your computer to DHCP and let it get it's own IP address from the router. It should not matter what the IP of you computer is.
