What are the opinions on these discs any one had decent luck with them? I just bought 25 from meritline.com for $23

and I have read rumors that my Micro-Advantage 8dvdrw-b13 is a re-badged BTC? any comments about that from the peanut gallery?

Prodisc is good media. It is going for about 70 cents per disc at supermedia.com. They use AZO metal dye and burn at 4X on all my drives.

Agreed. Prodisc has been good for me.

However, as with a lot of brands, don't be tempted by second rate brand cheapies such as Bulkpaq in the UK as these seem to be B or C grade and, although they're just fine in newer drives like the Pioneer 106/107 and NEC2500A, in older devices like the 105 they're a little bit iffy past 4.2Gb.

I agree about the lowest price DVDs. Not a good investment. The prodisc seem to be in the grade A category even at the lower price.

I have also had good luck with the supermedia brand DVDs that use the AZO dye. They are turning out good burns even on my highest compression backups. They just aren't recognized as 4x on 2 of my burners.
So Prodisc and Ritek get burned on those.
