no sound after ripping dvd

Hi guys, I have mucked around with "A Knight's Tale"
trying to get sound but all I get is a silent movie.
I have ripped it with DVD Decripter, SmartRipper and
DVDShink, same resolts. Have tryed mucking around with the audio streams with VOBrator all to no avail. But I have noticed on the cover it says "Dolby Digital soundtrack contains up to 5.1 channels of discrete audio. Dolby Surround soundtrack contains up to 4 channels of matrix encoded audio." does this mean it can't be cracked.

Try again with Shrink and make sure you check ALL the audio options available. If it still comes out silent then please post back as I've never heard of this happening before. Also I presume backing up other discs does not cause the same problem?

Thanks for the reply. I checked all audio streams, still the same resolt. No I've had no probs with an other backups I just thought this was strange, but if you do come across this and work it out please let us know.

had no trouble with this one at all. ripped the whole dvd to hd..then used DVD2One and chose the audio selection at the top , whatever it was, i don't remember...works and looks great

Hey Memcco, did you rip it with DVDshrink 'cos that's what I used but did'nt backup the whole DVD just the movie.

i use anydvd and DVD2One...i don't like dvdshrink

Sy+: Go back to DVD Shrink and do the following: go to 'preferences' - 'stream selections' and then click on the drop down button in the right box for audio streams and select 'all types' then close and try ripping and burning again. You should get the audio this time. Try using a an RW disc when anything goes wrong so you don't waste discs.
