I have some vob files that I want to convert to avi or some other easier format, but everytime I try to use something like dvd2avi or something like that, the program crashes. I'm guessing that the vob files may have errors or something, but they will play in powerDVD. Any ideas on what to do?

Yeah,

Re-rip your original DVD, that will overcome any corruption problems.

If DVD2AVI still has problems, then something else is wrong..
