Why not take a look at the new Sony DRU500A?

It's not the cheapest, but it burns DVD-R/+R/-RW/+RW, and, of course, CD-R/RW.

This way, you can cover all formats.

At $350, list, it's a bit more than the Pioneer drives, but it does cover all formats, which is pretty unique.

If am using the RICOH 5125.
DVD +R / DVD +RW burner.
Works great. Beware of you home player though!! Must be an DVD+R/+RW compatible one. (e.g. PHILIPS).
