A federal Court rejected a motion today that would have allowed the Canadian Recording Industry Association to sue 29 people for Copyright Infringement.

The Judge said "No evidence was presented that the alleged infringers either distributed or authorized the reproduction of sound recordings" "They merely placed personal copies into their shared directories which were accessible by other computer users via a P2P service."

According to the Federal Court making music availible online through p2p is NOT a voilation of Copyright Laws!

I am proud to be Canadian this day. here's a link to the story. http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2004/03/31/canada/download_court040331

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger."

Dela, You're ALLLIIIVVVEEE!!!

Didn't they make P2P legal in Canada on April Fools day?

And I'm proud I'm living in Canada. :P

Everyone is entitled to their own true opinion. Either respect that or don't.
