Pioneer DVR-104 Disk Sensing problems

I've recently bought a Pioneer DVR-104 and I watched a DVD on it and then burned a backup of my HDD with it. After the burning the drive hasn't been the same; it doesn't recognise any disks placed in it as either DVD-Rs DVDs. I've upgraded to the latest firmware from Pioneer, and I've tried multiple burning programs but with no luck.

Please Help!
