I just recently purchased the Aladdin Advance 64 Universal ModChip for Xbox and would like to put games on the xbox hdd.I am a newbie to this, do I need an Emulator for this? and a larger hard drive or can i use the original hard drive? thanks

you need to install a dashboard such as evox, it will alow you to install games to the drive. the original drive wont hold much but you can use it. try searching around, you'll find any info you need on here already. also search for posts by a member named seamonkey, in his signature you'll fiond a link to his site, he has great xbox guides that cover what you need to know.
