Burning with DVD X Platinum onto two disks.

When I try to burn onto 2 disks in advance mode I sometimes have problems. If I use compression in advanced it burns just fine the same with the simple mode. I have had it happen on 3 different disks, yet I have also burned successfully on two disk on some movies. Sometimes it will even tell me it is a successful burn but it won't play properly. It gives me the DVD backup message and the movie studios logo but thats it. No chapters, no menu just black screen. Any suggestions?
