Have you never seen 20,000 leagues under the sea?
Oh, right, that was Nemo. Anyway, Nero is a bit of rather good software for burning Audio CDs or even Video CDs, after having first encoding them. You can also burn DVDs and plenty more with the right hardware. Look at their website at
www.ahead.com
Ahead is the company that writes the software. I can't advise you, as I am unsure what you want to do, but if you ask here, someone, maybe me, could help you.
Are you burning videos, audio or what?
Paul.

No, never saw 2,000 leagues under the sea if you can believe that. Anyway, thanks for responding to my post. I bought a cd burner and it came with a program to make cds (b's recorder gold) it is called, but i am having a problem with it and it isn't working, so i was telling someone and they told me to try nero. I am trying to make audio cd's that i downloaded from Kaza.
Thanks again. :)

Obviously Afterdawn would not support piracy in any way. It is a shame that you are not trying to legally back up your audio CDs, as the way to do that would be to download Nero from this website for the 30 day trial. Install the software and use the wizard to select copy CDs.
If your music file is already in a .wav format, you could also use Nero in the same way to drag and drop your audio files (so long as you did not download them from KAZZA as that would be illegal) and make your back ups that way.
Paul.

I just read my last post and thought : Oh my god, I sound like a member of FACT. Obviously you are downloading public domain files from KAZZA, so everything is OK!
Best of luck
Paul.

Well it is a damn good thing you are not downloading Britney Spears 'Music'.
Anyway, have you downloaded Nero yet. If you need any help with Nero, or video stuff, just ask.
Paul.

Well i went on the nero site and it looked alittle confusing so i am going to first attempt to call tech support for the program i have and see if i have any luck with them. If i don't i will probably be back here for some help with the nero. Is it confusing?? I didn't know which one to download on the site, there were all different things to download.
Thanks again for your reply and no brittney spears music for me :)

Oh sorry, one other thing, would you have any clue why all of a sudden my burner was freezing up and creating image file and then i would have to press ctrl, alt, del and it would say b's recorder gold not responding, then i uninstalled program and reinstalled and then it worked fine until i tryed to play the music and no sound came out. I am clueless to all this technical stuff. Do you know anything about this?

No, not sure, but have never used that software. You can download the Nero software from this website, here is the exact location:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/nero.cfm
Just unZip it and it will run for 30 days. If you want it for longer, consider paying $49 for a key to allow you permanent use. It has a pretty good Audio Editor and does overburn.
Good Luck with your recordings.
Paul.
PS MAYBE someone else can help with this guy's burner.

It's really difficult burning discs when you're 20,000 leagues under the sea (even with Nero), because the discs get all wet and everything.

Klingy, that bit next to your name says 'Senior Member'
Wear it with pride and don't talk nonsense! (If you do , you will be just like me!)
Anyway, apologies to JC, for my assumption of gender, perhaps someone could help this lady further. (No, not that kind of help, Klingy)
Paul.

That's true, but it was misspelled -- it should have said "Senile" Member.
I'm getting old now and can't think as well as I used to. And my eyes are starting to go now (a result, I'm afraid, of staring too long at laser assemblies while trying to fix my friends' burners) - you know how it is.

I am very pleased there is a large treacherous ocean separating us, Sir Klingon. I fear the people of good old England could not manage you!

Het JC thinks this is a techie site to help with her problems. No sirree, this is just a chat room!
Just kidding ;-)
Please download and install Nero
(By the way I am assuming the CD Recorder was installed correctly, as there is nothing I can do to verify this or help you)
Follow the Nero wizard (it opens automatically when you load Nero) and select CD/Compile/Audio in that order. You will be presented with a screen with a couple of long tall windows on the right. Locate your file (Nero accepts a few forms of audio file) and drag it into the window marked audio 1. Once they are all there, make sure they are in order and click the burn button (8th from the right, if memory serves) and go through the process.
If you cant select the right form of Nero download (I admit their site can be a little confusing) donwload it from here:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/nero.cfm
As I said before, unzip it (you PC will do this when you click on the folder with the zip across it) and Robert's your father's brother.
Good luck.
Paul.

Aha, perhaps you are not English! There is a good old fashioned English saying, 'Bob's your Uncle!' In other words, there you are, easy as pie, etc. Robertst your father's brother, well you can figure it out.....
And no, nothing is ever easy, if it was everyone would do it! However, when you finally get it working I promise you that you will think, oh, that wasn't so hard!
Download Nero, that is most important. Plus it is really quite easy to use. Don't worry, we will have you copying music to CD and backing up DVDs to VCD before long. You could also try another sister site for audio stuff called:
http://www.cd-rw.org/
Best of luck, Paul.

Anyway, will try nero and i'll keep you posted as to how it goes. Thanks again, you guys have been so helpful and it's a fun board here, i'll miss it. :)
