ok, heres the deal. i installed acohol 120 on my computer and was trying to back up a new game, the game is mvp baseball 2004 by ea sports. it is a 2.9v of safedisc 2. so i opened alcohol and used the image making wizard. i enabled fast skip error block and skip read error. and everything went smooth. it took about 3 and a half hours to dump the image. but it went fine like i said. then i opened the image burning wizard. and copied the image file using a buslink burner, im not sure what the model number is but it is a couple of years old. and i have a sony cd-rom that i used to dump the image onto my hardrive. ok well everything went smooth with the writing process. it took about 40 min. since i wrote it at 1x, the lowest possibel speed i could. well i went to use the backup disc and if i put it in the cd-rom it would say please insert correct cd-rom and try again. and if i put it in the buslink burner it would say nothing. it would act like the game was gonna load but it didnt. i even waited for like a half hour. and still the same picture was up there. so i dont know what to think. i have heard that in order for an ea sports backup to work you must play the backup through the same drive that you installed the original game in. but it also says that you must play the backup in the burner it came from. so im in a lose, lose situation here. so what i did was uninstall mvp baseball from my computer and reinstalled it in the cd burner this time. cuz before i used the sony cd rom to install it. so i figured if i used the burner to install it. that my problem would be solved. eh, eh, wrong answer things just got worse. when i was installing the game i put the first original disc in and it installed fine. then it prompts you to put the second disc in and click ok, so i did. and i waited and waited and nothing. it would not finish installing the game. my burner would not respond. like when i went to taskmanager and looked at aplications, it was saying it would not respond. now neither of my roms will install the game. it is driving me crazy. lol, i dont know what to do. by the way i am running windows xp on my computer. so i did some research and it said the reason the burners might be acting up is cause of this thing called an aspi driver. so i downloaded force aspi and did what it told me to do. and then i even checked it with the other lil tool you download. and it said that the older version was installed, so i was like kool, but it did not help me one bit. i have even uninstalled and reinstalled the rom and burner but i still get the same thing. it will not continue install of the 2nd cd. and my roms are just acting slow as can be now since i have messed with alcohol 120, i have tried other programs as well, clonecd, daemon tools, betablcoker, insektors. and i still cant make a backup of my game. and now my roms wont work properly, so if anyone could give me some help here, i would be greatly appreciative. i mean i have spent alot of time on trying to do this to no avail. i do have some info tho on the buslink burner.

oh and by the way i have a amd athlon, 900 mghz, 256 ddr memory and an 80gig hard drive. thx once again joe. sorry for the long post, just trying to give you guys as much info as possible.
