Im trying to rip a new scooby doo cartoon "scooby doo and the witches ghost" and when I use shrink I get a copyright protection message. When I use decrypter it tells me it can't decrypt the dvd and asks me to ignore, abort, or retry. when I use smartripper it just kind of stops at 38% and it says 5 broken blocks in red. Is this dvd encryption unbreakable?Help please.

I don't think it's an enryption problem, in fact i'm sure. The symptoms you describe are classic signs of scratched or dirty disks. Try giving them a clean, you may get lucky.

first I did get that cyclic message from shrink then I did clean it but then it gave me a diff message. I'll just get a disc cleaner and see what happens next. Also I'm having a problem burning emperors new groove from disney. I ripped it fine, in fact I ripped it a couple of times because the first time I ripped it to 4.39gb and it wouldn't burn so I thought it was too big but then I ripped it smaller and still it won't burn. I know it has a pc program on it, could that be the problem? and if so I guess I could just take the main movie with no menus. Also any idea how to just take the files back to DVD Shrink w/o the actual dvd.

Did you try using the ignore or retry option with Decrypter? If you can get it to "skip over" the bad area, and get the thing on to your hard drive you may be able to save it.
What you can do is reauthor using Shrink/ start/end feature.
Once you get it on your hard drive with Decrypter, Open Shrink and select "open files", browse for the movie, select it and then when its done analyzing, select reauthor.
Drag the main movie title over into the compilation window and select the start/end feature. Using the chapter select and sliders try and isolate the first portion of the movie, up to the bad section. Once you get it sized, back it up to a folder.
Do the same thing with the second portion, from the ending of the bad portion to the end of the main title, backing this up to another folder.
Once this is done use Shrink in the reauthor mode to compile both folders.

This will work sometimes.

BTW, once you process a movie with Shrink, just use the "open files" feature to browse for the original folder Shrink made when you ripped the disc.

I processed the movie using shrink but when I go to open under open files and browse for the folder it doesn't show the iso files.
