Best brand for DVD +/- RW

I have read alot on these forums with regards to the best brand of media and most reliable places on the the .Net to buy them. I have heard alot about the potential of DVD Shrink but for whatever reason that be the dvd back-up gods just wont allow me a successful burn. Hence this creates alot of scowls on wasted resources my part and smiles from my son when I create yet another frisbee to insert in his hanging disc wallpaper :)

Now someone made a suggestion of practicing with RW's that way my unsuccessful tries can be reformated for yet another attempt. So here is my "whats the best brand" question again.

I have gone to the various web stores and was trying to find the media brand I use for my DVD-R's in the form of a RW. Alas I have not had any sucess in locating such things. I only want a couple to use for practice but all I can find are brands that others have said to stay away from.

So what is your opinion, I am all ears!!! Er...well eyes atleast!

It's not really the brand name that counts, it's where they're made. If you can find some that say "made in Japan" on the box, they are the best since quality control in Japan is always top notch. Otherwise you never know what you're getting since many brand names do not make their own discs, but have them made by other companies then stamp their logo on them. Same is true of all CD and DVD media.
