i have mpeg files that i want to transfer to dvd but do dvd players play mpeg files?

hi mrrod
you can convert your mpegs 1's or mpeg 2's to vob files to burn with nero etc. on a dvdr.You need dvd authoring sofware ie.TMPGEnc dvd author(trial version available) http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=dvdauthor&name=tmpegencdvdauthor

you can also make them into a vcd just use the search for more info

Hi MrRod,

If you have Nero 6, you can give a try to NeroVision Express. It will convert your video files to MPEG-2/VOB and burn them to a DVD.

hi mrrod
nero does alot of things very well, and i use mine all the time. But ive been told nero's encoder is a piece of crap,by some of the more seasoned sage's in here,so i dont use it for that.
Stick with TMPGEnc or mainconcepts,or the more higher end encoders(high dollars)and you'll be fine.(trial versions available for most)
